Born September 17, 1987. His devotion for the guitar came after listening to Led Zeppelin III, an album in which he was particularly moved by the brilliant passages of Jimmy Page on “Since I’ve Been Loving You” , this would mark the beginning of a crazy journey across six strings of freedom. Former classical guitar student (2001-2005) at Escuela Superior de Guitarra; he began developing an interest for electric guitar which to this day, has been completely self-taught. He has played in guitar shows like “Dias de Gloria”, “Deliras”, cover rock bands like “Heartbreaker”, session guitarrist for “Septimo Faro” & “Two Coins”. He also played in Honduras in 2005 representing Costa Rica at a multicultural event where embassadors from all Latin America gatthered from a musical treat consisting of solo material presented for the first time. HIs most important show to date was performing in September 2007 at the National Theatre in Costar Rica, home of the International Guitar Festival. In this opportunity Calvo played 30 minutes of original compositions, “Study 7”, “Microwave Woman”, “Solitude Amnesia” and “Inmortal Fax Machine”. He represented the country in the electric guitar format, the show was very well received by an excited audience. He has always based his perfomances on original material heavily influenced by progressive rock and music that stands out, from avant garde like John Cage to Electronic like Portishead. Currently he has some demo recordings including the RockWorks87 series and N1NT3ND0; he keeps writing new music for a mainstream solo release. Also in his works is the rock proyect, EQUINOXIO, a mix of classic rock and bizarre metal experiments. Vocals, Bass, Drums, Guitar.
