Gustavo possesses fantastic touch and phrasing, great technique – and all with a
real rock attitude! He impressed with his real ‘rockstar’ approach and great natural flair, conjuring up memories of Jake E. Lee in his prime. Gustavo possibly has all the attributes to become a true guitar idol.
Gustavo Di Padua releases in 2008 his first solo album, intitled “THE STAIRS”. The guitarrist, who also produced and played all the intruments on this album, now starts to play some concerts to promote his new solo cd. This album tells a little of his history and trajectory. “THE STAIRS” is a conceptual album and each track represents an important step of his life.
The guitarist and musical producer started his career when he was 14 years. Always composing and playing in many local bands, he developed and acquired great knowledge and maturity. Today, Gustavo has an ample musical experience and continues playing with important bands. He also plays with many brazilian artists.
As producer, he has work in innumerable albums for bands and singers. He also produced some of his own bands, as ENDLESS (album “DREAM AT THE SUN”) released by a japanese label, Marquee/Avalon in 2006.
With the repercussion of this album in Japan, Gustavo was invited by the japanese magazine YOUNG GUITAR for an interview in its edition of August of 2006, where he talks about his guitar work and production of the album.
Gustavo Di Padua plays in another important band of international heavy metal, AQUARIA, who has recently released “SHAMBALA”, in Japan by Marquee/Avalon. The first album, “LUXAETERNA” was released in Japan by the same label, in Brazil by Hellion and is also licensed in Mexico, Rússia, among others countries.
He was invited in 2007 to become one of the guitarrists of a brazilian heavy metal band, GLORY OPERA, who has two released albums, “RISING MOANGÁ” and “EQUILIBRIUM”.
Still at the end of 2007, he released with CÁPSULA, his band of alternative rock, the album “CÁPSULA 2007” and a video clip.
