hey there i am mike
i am 14 and started playing guitar when i was 8.
The reason for entering is you life once and you will only regret the things you don’t do. so i thought to hell with it submit. I am not expecting to win but i would like people to hear my music…....even though it would be cool to play live.
i have never really shown anyone my music. due to the fact that i never really think my music is up to my own standards. But with this track i pretty proud of because i worked on it for about 2 and a half months. Even though i know i could do better…

Im not sure what a Guitar Idol is, but I know what a good Guitarist is. Someone who can play Rhythmn as well as Lead ,(Rhythmn in songs probably take up 90 percent of the song anyway!), as well as being able to perform in a live environment and not make mistakes, not just for the guitarist’s rep, but not to let down the band he/she are playing in..

I’ve been playing mostly in the mdiwest and southern U.S., for pay and tips since 1984. I work as a solo, in music and comedy, parties, the street, taverns and a few coffee houses, with combos and occasionally bands. When playing solo for audiences, I strive for a fuller than average sound for a solo. On guitar I often play known hooks to songs, adding bass string to counterpoint or fatten up the mid to high notes. I play key boards, banjo and mandoiln and recognizable harmonica through a holder, and amplify my sound through a p.a. on street performances.

Started playing at 18 ish. Now thirt…hsss.schhh (signal interrupted)years old. Cant stop buying guitars – next one’s a PRS. Living in Peterborough and playing in an acoustic blues act called Skin & Bone – you’ll never guess which one I am. I am a sad IT worker with dreams of playing guitar professionally. I have learnt to play at the expense of several neighbour’s sanity and house value and I officially apologies to all of them here. Blame it on my mate Bill from college. It’s his fault. He took me to Gigriggers in Reigate. The rest was just waiting to happen. One day I hope to play fast.

I’m 17 years old student from Finland
I began playing guitar at the age of 16 and it will hopefully be something that I will do the rest of my life.
My earliest influences are pretty from much all kind of metal bands (especially the 80’s) which I still listen to everyday.
Lately I have become interested in artists such as Dream Theater, Rush, Pink Floyd, Liquid Tension Experiment, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Circus Maximus, etc…

I go by the name of JoJo. Ive been playing guitar for about 7 years now, about 3 taken seriously.. I’m in a band called The Back Doors in Chicago. We cant really be classified, were going to be something ground breaking how chili peppers was when they first came out. People say we bring back memories of Jim Morrison to Stevie Ray Vaughan to the Chili Peppers (in their beginnings) to the cure etc. Basically, every single band and artist we’ve looked up to but yet we still retain our own special sound and most importantly vibe. We’re not sell outs, we do this for the sheer love and joy of it.

Chris Frost was born in Greenwich, London in 1977. He first picked up the Guitar when he entered Secondary School in 1989, and never put it down again. Only having tuition for 18 months, Chris is practically entirely self-taught for the past 20 years.

Chris is now the songwriter and Lead Guitarist for his band Splintered Soul, as well as a full-time Guitar Teacher for his own company Musicality.

Alex played the guitar and sung with several local Brazilian bands on many different styles (Rock, Pop, Blues, Soul, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal) He also took part in many music contests and went through lots of them. In 2003 with his band (named Catarse), Alex got classified from 4000 bands in a national music contest. In 2004 he did a gig showing his solo project at Festa Nacional da Uva (a national event) opening for Titãs (one of the most important Brazilian rock bands ever).
