Enter Guitar Idol 2009
Guitar Idol is a free to enter, global competition for all ages†. Getting started is really simple. Just follow the instructions below and get your entry in today! To find out more about how the competition works, check this.
Step 1 – Get an account
The first thing you need to do is register an account. All you need to do is fill in a username, e-mail address and password.
Step 2 – Create your profile
This year Guitar Idol is going to be run over 3 heats. Before you can enter any of the heats, you must create a site profile. Navigate to your Dashboard and click Create Your Profile. Fill out the form, including:
- Your Name
- A Photo (ideally 200px x 271px)
- Your Location
- A Brief Biography
- Your Age/Gender
- Your Websites
Once you’ve filled the form in, click submit.
Step 3 – Prepare your entry
Make sure you have your content ready. This should include:
- The name of your track
- The style and influences of your track
- A brief description of your track (At least 100 words)
- Your entry – This is added from YouTube. These should not exceed approx 4 minutes.
Step 4 – Log in and Enter!
If you are not already logged in, do so with the account you made earlier. If you do not land on your dashboard, navigate to it. Once you have added your profile you’ll notice that your Dashboard options have changed. Your can now enter the current heat
- Fill out your details using the content from step 3
- Once you’ve checked your content over, hit submit
- Your entry will then be checked by a moderator and published to the site
